The vast majority of Strayer University’s students enroll to advance their careers - to up- skill, re-skill, or to finish a degree that will allow them to take the next step.
Strayer’s exceptional academic programs provide students with the skills and knowledge that will allow them to make those career advancements. To provide career guidance and support to students, Strayer relaunched their Career Center.
The new Career Center is a centralized, online space where students and alumni can easily access career tools, individual support, and information on career events. These resources are shared in online Career Interest Groups that have been created to align with the University’s academic programs.
The navigation of the Career Center reflects the different stages of the Career Strategy Lifecycle that are explore, connect, prepare, and act. These stages are integral to student success and are the stages most individuals visit and revisit throughout their careers. Under each stage or navigational heading are resources to help students create their own career strategy.
To build the new Career Center, Strayer partnered with uConnect, makers of the first virtual career center.
“With the launch of the new Career Center, we are excited to be strengthening our ability to support the unique career development needs of Strayer students and alumni,” says Bob Morrill, Associate Vice President of Office of Employability. “Our goal is to help all students translate their Strayer education into a return on their investment in education. The new Career Center will streamline and enhance our ability to achieve that goal.”
