“When we adopted uConnect, we transformed our digital offering, optimized the way we communicate with students, and created a flexible and sophisticated online presence,” says Alyssa Hammond, Director of Undergraduate Career Education and Outcomes. “In our seventh year of partnership, we are so excited to be co-hosting Career Everywhere Boston, an event that will bring together leaders from all across higher education who are ready to collaborate to create the best possible career development experience for our students.”
uConnect is proud to support the hardworking team at Bentley, whose high-powered approach to career development has ranked them in the top 5 career services departments in the U.S. according to the Princeton Review, for seven consecutive years.
Bentley’s uConnect platform encourages engagement with career services by pulling all career resources and opportunities into one user-friendly digital space. All of this career content can be explored in digital Career Communities, where content relevant to a specific career interest is curated and presented. As stated by the Bentley team on their platform, the Career Communities model serves to “expand student awareness of the many functional roles, employer organizations and industries that can align with their unique strengths and interests. This holistic approach introduces students to a collaborative ecosystem of a variety of industry professionals, within a learning community, to explore the relevancy and application of classroom knowledge and skills with the needs of the business community.”
Bentley has had great success in increasing student engagement with career resources; since launching, Bentley’s platform has seen average increases each academic year of 41% in web sessions and 31% in page views. Clearly, the Bentley community appreciates the streamlined and highly accessible way they can explore and engage with career development content.
On December 2nd, 2019 student success champions from across departments and offices throughout the country will gather at the beautiful Bentley campus for Career Everywhere Boston, the second in a four-part series of one-day events designed to spark the critically important conversation about integrating career development into each and every part of the student journey. At Career Everywhere, sessions presented by leading changemakers in higher education will highlight strategies for integrating career planning and exploration into admissions, advising, degree completion, and lifelong learning initiatives.
